The Last Thing I Want to See During the Super Bowl

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2CaBR3z85c&eurl

Kudos to NBC. The network rejected the stomach-churning ad.

NBC is coming under fire from pro-life advocates for rejecting a television commercial a pro-life group hoped to run during the Super Bowl. The ad shows a beautiful picture of an unborn child during an ultrasound and asks what would happen if President Barack Obama had been a victim of abortion. [...]

I’d say the same thing about an ad for Planned Parenthood or NARAL.

I want my football, especially on Super Bowl Sunday, served straight up. No politics, please, unless it’s someone in the spirit of the day rooting for a great game.

I cannot believe those pro-life people. That’s absolutely terrible. I don’t even think it should be an ad anywhere. But, I know then you are denying someone freedom of speech.

I want Blago in the halftime show.

  3. GeoT 29 January 2009 at 6:58 pm #

    and here he is now.

  4. Audiegrl 29 January 2009 at 6:58 pm #

That is just wrong, on so many different levels.

  5. TaylorMarsh 29 January 2009 at 6:59 pm #

Could they be any more tone deaf?

    …at the Super Bowl?????

  6. GeoT 29 January 2009 at 7:01 pm #

he’s crying… now don’t you feel bad that you made fun of him Audiegirl?

  7. Betsy 29 January 2009 at 7:02 pm #

You are so right Taylor. What the hell is the matter with those people.

  8. Betsy 29 January 2009 at 7:04 pm #

Boy is Blago pushing the limit. Bringing kids into the picture.

Who Blago? He’s my now ex-governor, and its Illinois, so I was going to give him grief. LOL

But I still say he’s crazy like a fox. :-)

Perfect description Geo..PT Barnum! The man has the gift of gab.

Matthews was asking someone earlier on Hardball, if Blago was mentally unbalanced. struck me as funny Matthews wondering about the mental health of someone. I think he is half nuts himself.

  14. Audiegrl 29 January 2009 at 7:10 pm #

Maybe he will show up on ‘Law and Order’. Believe me, he is not going away. If that supeana crook Karl Rove can still walk around and show up on Fox, then Blago should have his own show. At least he is entertaining.

OH, snap! AG, that is brilliant. “Law & Order!” Yes.

  16. Lake Lady 29 January 2009 at 7:13 pm #

How about Bill Kristol or any of the other neocons, they still get airtime and page space!

Maybe he and Palin could do a show, the crazy from the left and the crazy from the right.

  20. GeoT 29 January 2009 at 7:14 pm #

    At least he is entertaining.

He is, but I have to tell you, after 5 minutes I had to mute the dude… he’s a motor-mouth.

  21. Audiegrl 29 January 2009 at 7:17 pm #

    Taylor,

He has a photographic memory, so he would be perfect for acting and he loves the camera. If you notice, he never uses notes. At least he would be better than Fred Thompson. LOL

It is true Taylor Warner and his wife are full out christers.I have to say however they are very nice people. They seem very sincere. They come back to St. Louis and do a coat drive every fall.

I had an assistant who went to his church here in St.louis and when her husband lost his business Warner kept them afloat for over a year.

  23. TaylorMarsh 29 January 2009 at 7:27 pm #

Warner and his wife are devout born again Christians. Nothing wrong with that at all. As you noted, Lake Lady, they reach out and do good deeds. Warner is a good guy, no doubt about it.

Everything from pro-lifers seems to begin with “What if”? It’s time they dealt with what is.
