Your article was a really good post, but I couldn’t help but think of the next GOP ad that will come of the interview:

WALLACE: Does — do you have any explanation as to why he doesn’t talk about the war on terror?

I can see it will get ‘cut’ right there and spun out of control, completely out of context of the rest of the conversation.
