Speaking of the GOP’s alternative budget, isn’t it supposed to be laid out in full “detail” today … ?

I think they are in contact with the Bizarro world in the Superman comics. Any budget that John Boehner and company come up with would have to fit in perfectly in a Bizarro world. It will be interesting to see how the top tax rate of 25% they propose (somewhere in the neighborhood of a trillion dollars of lower revenue) would fit into a budget. They probably will just assume the economy would grow at a ridiculously high rate.

Because remember, tax cuts are the solution to everything.

I really believe that talk radio has pushed these type of attitudes and a part of a whole generation has been fed their crap for 25 years. All these jackasses talk about is pulling people up by their bootstraps. The only thing Limbaugh knows about bootstraps is he can’t see his.

Some in the right seem to think that anyone not like them is some sort of touchy-feely wuss. The idea of a safety net is foreign to many of them. I understand Drudge since he probably makes millions off his website, but for the life of me I’ll never understand the low income people who buy into that garbage.

My dad always said GOP stood for “Greed Over People.” I think he may have been right. The conservatives just don’t have the answers and really never did because they took out the human side of life.

Just another of many examples that proves Drudge and his fellow right-wingers just don’t get it. Like the fact that they only care about a child upon conception or while in the womb – once the baby is delivered, the GOP could not care less if the child receives health care, a quality education, job training, etc.

I guess the GOP will be shocked and surprised too when the crime rate spikes as a result of the hard times so many face.
