It's also a poorly crafted biil full of the pork that made this compromised sausage. Obama prempted with compromise, denies and dissembles when held to his campaign promises. The attack and end run on RowvWade is particularly ugly and harmful, not to say disrespectful of all progressive and many centrist Dem women. Catholic Bishops Council should be forced to pay income tax for interfering with the legislative process. That Pelosi allowed the despicable Stupak in the House bill says reams about her indifference and insincerity.I am totally turned off this kind of administration. All of its decisions and policies have nothing to do with what we were led to believe. And er, no, I am not an irresponsible politically naive perfectionist lefty and/or dreamy impractical lefty "troublemaker". White House turning on those who voted for Obama by name calling is
loser strategy. So he and his gang are phony balony. 23 December 2009 at 9:26 pmI have supported Obama when it was needed, to beat McCain-Palin, and when it was deserved, mostly on foreign policy, which I will continue to do when it's earned. On health care, he's botched it at every move.Nothing will ever be like the '08 primaries, Mark, an historic moment in election history, that's for sure. There you go with the delussional part. But then you are as in touch with reality as far as personal interactions are as you are regarding your conspiracy theories and your politicol points of view."Now that we’ve established that Obama is a bald-faced liar. And that the Congress is full of thieves and lechers. Isn’t it odd that some misguided people still cling to the absurd notion that Hillary Clinton is not herself a liar, a thief, and a lecher?"
Oh just go and fuck yourself will you. "cling to the absurd notion that Hillary Clinton is not herself a liar, a thief, and a lecher?"
Who writes your shit, Carl Rove? Anyone who had any doubt about what an out of touch with reality jackass you are need only read that one."Hillary and Obama may have differed in public delivery, but neither one of them represented a departure from politics as usual."
And once again you damn all the players without putting forward anyone even REMOTELY electable. You and your circlejerk buddy are just a couple of concern trolls who haven't the faintest idea what the American public supports or who they would vote for.
Either your candidate would be Gus Hall or Carl Rove, that's how fucked in your heads you are.Oh yeah, in another post I noticed you floated the bullshit "the CIA is running drugs" again. I don't agree with everything Madam Secretary does; but she is out there doing all the heavy lifting for this administration when it comes to such matters. Obama is giving town hall meetings in China and Hillary deploys to the Middle East. Obama is scheduled to meet Medvedev is Russia. Hillary is sent in first. She is sent in to set the tone or dispatched to unmuttle his messages. She stood time and time again for women's rights, standing against Bush about Title IX and Plan B. She stood firm to help emergency reaponse teams and victims & victims families from day 1 after 9/11. She was the lead on research and legislation to make mandatory that soldiers returning from Iraq be tested for TBI and seek counseling after it became clear that veteran suicides had gone through the roof. She was frequented Fort Drum and visited soldiers before Walter Reed was popular. This woman has changed lives for the better. Obama is giving town hall meetings in China and Hillary deploys to the Middle East. Obama is scheduled to meet Medvedev is Russia. Hillary is sent in first. She is sent in to set the tone or dispatched to unmuttle his messages. She stood time and time again for women’s rights, standing against Bush about Title IX and Plan B. As to what you wrote above, the real issue with Obama is that he has no ideology, therefore no compass, preferring to move from deal to deal, never knowing his own position until two opposing points of view are given to him, where he will then cut the difference.I'm not shocked. I just wish there was a Congress willing to stand up for better policy and take the time necessary to get that done.Watching the Dem press conference today, which I tweeted briefly, it was surreal. The bill they describe and are celebrating has no relation to the bill I see being delivered.Steve High says:

Democrats who survive the battering, ingratitude and frustration of politics without becoming cynical are, I think, more likely to be with us in clinch than those who ideals have not been fully tested.Liberals entranced by Dean, Edwards, and Obama will perhaps learn to be less distracted by bright, shiny objects.I'm not sure, however, that Hillary would have been even this effective in advancing national health care given the incredible sliming the media has awarded Obama, their darling until he actually tried to do something.I hope she gets a second chance. I do not believe that we will see any meaningful change in Obama until we change how we deal and do business with him. HE has to see, feel, sense, believe and KNOW that we progressive have lost all respect for him. IMHO, that is the key to our success. Indeed, when we get to the point when we have as much contempt for him as the Republicans do, and we have no problem in showing it. The first time Axlerod calls bloggers for a "tete-a-tete" and no one shows up "because they've heard all the BS before" they'll get the message loud and clear. Some time ago someone mentioned that the WH was in a "tailspin" because of press articles. Well, you ain't seen nothing yet. This man cannot stand to be despised. He needs to be adored. He will sell his soul to those whom he thinks despise him in exchange for their love. It seems that the people who abuse him most are the ones who he placates. As long as he has polls showing that he can count on us no matter what he does, we should not expect one damn thing to change. We will always be lied to and screwed. But learn to walk away, put him in a real "tailspin" and we can achieve more than Big Pharma ever dreamed they could achieve.

Good Day everyone. From his first arrival on the scene, ferried in by a mass marketing campaign that was transparently false advertizing and media hype, I warned everyone that would listen that Obama was an empty suit, a puppet, a figurehead. What is comical from the Hillary supporters is their luxurious situation of being able to opine about what "might have been", without having the unfortunate disadvantage of history demonstrating whether or not their musings are on target, or just one more example of voter's naivette and misplaced faith. What IS clear is that if you do not represent the status quo, you have very little chance of participating in the media choreographed stage show known as "the campaign trail". All throughout the process, my main argument was that the sidelining of Kucinich, Paul, and Gavel was proof positive that true change was not in the works, and the platforms we were ALLOWED to hear and see debated could only portend more of the same, because candidates that had historically bucked the status quo, and had their convictions proved by the the longetivity of their platforms, were not allowed to participate in the process. In short, we were given a stacked deck from which to pick a card. Hillary and Obama may have differed in public delivery, but neither one of them represented a departure from politics as usual. So nattering on about what Hillary MIGHT have achieved is all well and good, but like the rest of them, her daily rhetoric is designed to counter daily events and situations, and may or may not accurately expose her true intentions. Like Obama, her statements are manufactured to sail on the political winds. If we are to accuse these people of "lying", as Taylor accuses Obama of doing, (and I agree, he's a shameless liar), we must also look at our favored politicians, and ask if they aren't doing the same thing. What about Hillary's State Department denying military invlovment in Yemen, then reversing themselves two days later? She'll lie as Secretary of State, but she wouldn't have lied if she was President? Face it, lying is what they do. And if they aren't pathological liars and opportunists, they aren't allowed to ascend to the posts they hold.If nothing else, the last decade should have convinced ANY reasonably intelligent voter that "we the people" is just a feel good slogan, and we stopped having any power quite a while ago. Perhaps Obama is a good thing. Perhaps now the klaxons will go off in the heads of the American voters, and we can drop this ridiculous wedge known as "right vs left" and get back to being one people with shared common interests.

I never supported Obama.
