It’s yet another Tuesday of another week passing by as Congress continues to sport multiple health care compromise possibilities, with no one sure where this will end.
The power seesaw between Snowe and Lieberman continues, with it being reported that Ms. Snowe won’t support a Medicare buy-in. Lieberman might, if public option is scrapped.
Health Care Wire reports the health care 10 are back in their meeting, with rumors swirling there may be something concrete yet today.
UPDATE II: Senator Nelson and his cohorts lose out on trying to insert Stupak-esque language in the Senate bill, 54-45, which is our win, ladies.
UPDATE: Medicare expansion is evidently out, which I’m also hearing from many others.

All this, is a reflection of how weak the Democratic leadership (Obama/Reid) is.
Thought it would lose by more than 9.
kris – I held my breath on the Nelson amendment. The phone calls seem to have paid off. I just want this over now. Can’t stand the suspense.
Jane -
You thought the Nelson amendment would pass?
BTW – very good to “see” you.
It was the “gentlemen” who brought this amendment down. So it was a win for all the gentlemen as well, Taylor. At least those gentlemen who believe in the law and the reproductive rights of women. Peace
Good to see the Nelson amendment get put aside on the table. Speaking of not wanting public money to going to something immoral:
I want to see a law passed that will make it illegal for salaries for Republican representatives and Senators to go for the payment of any money to mistresses or prostitutes.
For example, I don’t want my tax money to go for the money that Senator Ensign gave to his mistress for anything and since money appears fungible he should return any monies that he spent on his mistress to the Federal Government.
Similarly Senator Vitter should return money that he paid for prostitutes and also for the diapers that he wore when engaging in sex with such prostitutes.
Former Senator Larry Craig Needs to cough up money that he paid for getting sex from men he found in bathrooms and for the travel money that he spent on such travel to such anonymous places so he could get such favors.
Henry Hyde’s estate needs to pay back years worth of funds that he paid to mistresses that he has had that taxpayers had to pay for as well.
Yes, a Republican adulterer, Henry Hyde made a law restricting women’s freedom to have abortions paid for by the government which we vote for and elect,
kris – I don’t know what to expect anymore these days. It seems our Congress don’t know their a$$es from a hole in the ground and anything is possible as long as the right people are donating to their campaign war chests. Right now I find Elmo, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street more intelligent than most of the imbeciles in Washington. Notice I said most. I don’t like playing politics with women’s bodies. It feels like I’m being violated when they start putting restrictions on what a woman can or cannot do with her body.
I’m becoming a real cynic. Too bad, I thought I was going to get out of life being an optimist.
