The allegations surrounding the former lawmaker date back at least a year, and involve “a pattern of behavior and physical harassment,” according to one source. The new claims of alleged groping contradict statements by Massa, who resigned his office on Monday after it became public that he was the subject of a House ethics committee investigation for possible harassment. Massa had said that the allegations were limited to his use of “salty language” with his staff. He apologized for making some inappropriate comments and argued he was being unfairly vilified. – Massa under investigation for allegedly groping male staffers
At the end of the interview it came to this for Glenn Beck: “America, I think I’ve wasted your time. …for the first time I’ve wasted your time.” His audience simply wanted the hour back.
As the show began, Mr. Massa said nobody forced him out, he “forced himself out.”
Beck joining in saying that there are now new allegations out there– Massa interrupting him to say timing is everything.
Glenn Beck asking if Massa believed in God. “That’s why I’m alive,” replied Massa.
Many Democrats are furious Massa is talking with Glenn Beck, before he even talks to him. However, I remember when Fox News channel was the only cable network giving Hillary Clinton a fair shot. Pres. Obama’s been interviewed by Chris Wallace. When Beck asked him why this network, Massa said he wanted a tough interviewer. Beck said that would be Bill O’Reilly. Massa simply stated, he didn’t call me.
Tweets are here. Let’s just say it didn’t go as Beck hoped. Massa pitched campaign finance reform, which wasn’t exactly what Fox or Glenn Beck planned. “I haven’t heard anything,” Beck whined. …”I’m frustrated.” When Massa asked Beck and others to quit calling people names I thought Beck’s head was going to explode. Beck gone bad, very bad, because he didn’t deliver anything to his audience; not even a Massa bank shot that hit Obama, Rahm, unions or the Democrats.
Whoever did the pre-interview on Massa should be fired. Oh right, it was Glenn Beck.

What a waist. Well, at least Beck apologized for waisting the viewers time.
Something I thought was interesting but did not get followed up was the ongoing process by politicians to get money. I’m sure everyone knows how it goes, but it would have still been interesting to hear it from a politician. The blurb Massa mentioned, seemed like a whole process..5-7 hours on the phone / how-to directions for freshman members, etc.
Campaign finance is talked about a lot, but you can bet Fox News and Glenn Beck certainly didn’t want to hear that lefty talking point.
It was hilarious.
Was mainly just interested in the process itself. Talking about campaign finance or campaign finance reform doesn’t really mean anything. After all it is a co-dependency, politicians (Dem/Repub) and lobbyist, corporations, unions, special interest groups, etc.
I watched it; Beck got taken for a fool. But Massa didn’t really redeem himself either; there’s just something about him that doesn’t ring true. He is too much of a double-talker. Did someone get to him after Beck called him and before he appeared on the program? I don’t know. Here’s one opinion that I think rings true though:

Lonsberry is just as much a snake as is Massa. Except Massa isn’t a snake. Why the White House has decided to lie about Massa’s encounter with Emanuel in the House shower room is incomprehensible. Even if Massa was completely insane he wouldn’t make that episode up. I also don’t understand why so many are trying to turn this guy into a closet gay man. The people doing that are the real snakes in all of this. Peace
Hmmm….now here’s someone I like alot, who comments that they worked for Massa and they know him to be a good man. So, maybe Lonsberry’s wrong; maybe I was wrong. I just don’t know.
“When I heard about how the Democrats are treating Eric Massa for sticking to his guns rather than falling in line with Democratic Party orders, I thought about Eric’s old boss, General Wesley Clark, and and what General Barry McCaffery once wrote about him. “Wes was always looked on as too well-educated, too wired, too good-looking. He’s not a simple crunch soldier.” Eric isn’t a crunch Democrat—he thinks for himself. That can no longer to be tolerated.
I am watching his resignation from Congress play out with great sadness.
I knew Eric.
I was active* in both of his campaigns. He has a fresh honesty about him. I knew he had battled cancer. I knew he could swear like the sailor he used to be and that he had a low crap tolerance. I knew he was not perfect. Yet his directness and hopes for the future of our country were healthy and persuasive. He was a man of the people.
I never thought I would tell this story in public, but I know for a fact that the recent clash with Rahm Emanuel was not the first. I actually witnessed such a confrontation several years ago at a meeting in Washington DC arranged by General Clark. Emanuel was giving a talk to the 40 or so of us in the meeting room, and so inappropriately attacked Erick by denigrating the way he was running his campaign. It was shocking and embarrassing, especially because Eric was right there in the room. But it’s not Rahm’s style to pull someone aside to speak privately about any concerns. No sadistic fun in that. Well, they went at it in the hotel lobby. And let me tell you that Eric may be the only human being who can indeed hold his own with Emanuel. If it were now only a two-man fight, I’d put my money on Eric.
Finally, there is an easy and cheap way to destroy the credibility and reputation of another human being. You just have to be evil enough to be willing to do it. First you find something unflattering, make a big deal out of it, gather up your allies, and start suggesting that your prey is both ridiculous and mentally unstable. We are seeing that play out now. It’s ugly theater, yet we are all watching as those in power reveal the tactics they will use to destroy any dissidents standing in their path.”

The MJ crew could not stop laughing at the Rahm in the shower image. Johnathan Caphart, editorial writer for WP, who is himself openingly gay, was enjoying the image so much that Pat Buchanan about jumped out of his skin. For what it is worth Capart thought it was pretty obvious that Massa had “man problems”. I don’t know what to think but I feel compassion for him he is obviously having a hard time right now.
Noogan~
I read an account at another site of an activist who met him at a delegate convention in Las vegas. She told a story of him rounding up a bunch of others and leading them to a hole in the wall bar down the street from the plush place they were staying. She said that she went because she thought she would get a free beer out of the deal. She said he gathered them and joked with them and ended by making the best impromptu stump speech she ever heard and she ended up not only not getting a free beer but contributing to him before the evening was over.
We have reached the age of the ‘constant camera’. Because of better and cheaper cameras and recording devices, as well as the flood of TV stations that have to find ‘content’ to fill a 24/7 schedule – we are hearing and seeing the ‘exposure’ of humans, rich or poor (but talking about the rich is more fun).
But the funny part is none of this is new. We just didn’t hear about it before. Affairs with other women? Involvement with hookers? Illegitimate (secret) children? Picking up gay affairs in a bathroom? Escaping to other countries for sex and secret meetings (you wouldn’t believe what they sell in Thailand). It’s always been around. We’re just seeing it exposed more.
It’s like Chris Rock so eloquently said: “Fidelity” ??
Is a matter of Opportunity.
It’s a National Enquirer world – and ‘Political’ figures are prime candidates. Get used to it. Power Corrupts – Absolutely
pmichael~ I think everyting you said is true except maybe the Chris Rock quote…surely there are some faithful individuals out there?
Lake Lady – one would like to think so (faithfulness), but I have very little faith in the male half. Like Goldie Hawn says, “It’s what they do.”
The differences between now and the past I remember is what’s really astounding. I remember when the concept of a Catholic priest molesting a young boy would have made most people clutch their chest and feel faint.
Whatever the real story is, only time will tell. That said, I admire the fact that Massa is willing to fight back against being thrown under the bus by The Village Dems and their sycophants in the media, new and old.
Plus, at least Massa had the balls to fight for a public option!
The whole thing is so sad. It seemed like Congressman Massa is having a meltdown !!! The whole shower thing with Rahm is something else. He described the scene like it was true. I don’t no if it is or not, but to me it sounds true.It sounds like Congressman Massa is one of those people that play the power trip with others including his staffers. I have worked for people that has acted like this and many others have too.I have been reading articles about Congressman Massa groped male staffers and I heard female ones too. It does not matter what gender you choose if your straight, gay, or bisexual, in power and you let it go to your head, you start acting like you have power over another person, bad things are bound to happen and I hope these charges are false, but I can’t stand when people act like that its dangerous and I hope Congressman Massa is not like that, and wish him the best but he is a man after revenge !!
You know what I find pathetic?…People have grown to hate Obama & Emanuel Rahm so much they are willing to believe any weird tale. I knew from the start this Massa guy was a little strange. So, I ignored his blabbing about Rahm. But to read and hear comments of people saying this has to be “true no matter what” proves to me folks no longer live in reality.
People who hate how Obama Presidential term is going need to cool their heels. The man “will not” be reelected if the economy does not turn around by 2012. And its looking more and more everyday that the economy will not bounce back in only four years. So, Obama has a very high chance of being only a one term President. Political junkies need to spend their time obsessing over which Republican will be the next president…now that’s a way more important issue then fake scandals about Obama…good grief!!!
“OTP”
if you havent seen the video itson youtube.
the way obama is now being attacked by SNL, rappers and past media supporters means he has already lost a 2nd term and it can only continue to get worse.
the sad thing he had such a good chance to change things for the better but failed like all those who followed him here in the primaries knew he would.
I will say it again… OTP… poor fool.
MarkD – THANK YOU for the belly laugh.
It always makes me giggle when someone claims to be certain where we’ll all be in three years. Hell – we could be at war with Iran AND China AND Israel by then. ROTFL
Thanks.
“imhopless gibbered:Why the White House has decided to lie about Massa’s encounter with Emanuel in the House shower room is incomprehensible. Prime example of the gibbering shit house rat crazy(you know, the rats who live under there cause they LIKE it) hate all things Obama all the time spewings from the more unhinged members of our happy lil community. Reality? THEY DON NEED NO STENKINF REALITY!!! They hate Obama and so ANT crazy chit that furthers their case(that’s funny, they have a case! BWAHAHA!) is OK with them!
“pmichael sez:Lake Lady – one would like to think so (faithfulness), but I have very little faith in the male half. Like Goldie Hawn says, “It’s what they do.”

I don’t know what “past” you remember pmichael but when I was growing up the standard joke was “how do you make a Nun pregnant? Dress her like an Alterboy.” That and my best friend being molested/raped by priests at the local edifice of superstition on a regular basis from the time he was around 10 oe 12, folks might not have been talking about it but it SURE as hell was going on.
As for fidelity, amazing NO ONE more then moi I have ample oppertunities to be unfaithful to my lovely wife if I were so inclined. But I MARRIED her for a very good reason. Because I LOVE her. So far anyway that has been sufficent for me to say thanks very, VERY much I am flattered beyond my ability with words to express but I’m married and I love my wife.
I don’t think anyone can predict where we will be in 3 years. I think Obama fully intends on having a second term as President and probably will unless the economy fails to improve and a charismatic, knowledgeable leader from another party emerges. The MSM is always looking for someone to beat up.
Good for you secular…I knew there had to be a few!
Well, now the truth is starting to dribble out, pardon the pun, on Massa’s history of groping, and dare I say it, PREDATORY BEHAVIOR, while he was in the Navy:
