Keep the pressure on. In the 21st century, there should be no support for the rightward march against women. Piety and spiritual devotion must not be relegated to ancient customs meant to relegate women to second class citizens who are under their husband’s control.

Thanks for posting that Ramsgate. I missed reading it. On this one I totally disagree with Amnesty International and I was surprised that they condemned the Belgian law. Maybe liberation and freedom for women in certain Muslim countries will come from the outside. We can only hope.
