Chris Matthews Now Hearts Hillary

MATTHEWS: Wow. I don’t know the political significance of all that. What I do have a strong sense of is this. Had more people seen that side of the former first lady and senator from New York, history might have gone down differently back in 2008.

Hearing this from Mr. Matthews is enough to make you hurl. The traditional press “have a beer with” syndrome one reason Democrats got stuck in the mess they’re in.

For over a decade Chris Matthews vilified Hillary Rodham Clinton, but also her husband Bill. Their marriage was fodder for him as he smacked his lips saying, “I love this stuff.” Meanwhile, Rudy’s marriage to his cousin didn’t get a peep. The boys always treated differently from the Clintons, people Matthews and others across the pundit spectrum delighted in dissing.

Not until Matthews and his ilk brought Hillary down did they decide she was okay, in fact maybe even had the right stuff. That Pres. Obama has fallen from the pedestal the American press put him on leaves them nowhere to go.

Just wait until 2012, when these same people who worked to destroy Clinton, while building up Obama, sides with whatever Republican is chosen. The “liberal media” inevitably comes home to papa.

Thanks for reminding us how horrible Matthews has been to Hillary – not only in the 2008 primary but while Bill Clinton was in the White House. I cleaned out a cabinet in my den recently and found an old VHS tape with several Hardball episodes I had taped back in 1999/2000 while Hillary was running for the NY senate seat. Matthews was over the top with his negative comments and observations about Hillary. Sounded worse than anything I have ever heard on FOX – and that says a lot.

Matthews has a lot to answer for where the Clintons are concerned, with his vilification going back 18 years now.

Just wait until his “special” on WJC’s post-presidency airs. The suck up factor so he can get you all back is choking.

Lot of that going around these days. I could not agree with you more regarding Matthews.Who didn’t know that Hillary had a sense of humor or that Bill was a master politician? The village boys and girls did their damnest to paint them as unacceptable and craven compaired to their Precious.Hillary was even accused of being racist for praising LBJ for getting civil rights passed, Bill for comparing Obama’s win in South Carolina to Jesse Jackson’s similar win.Now that Obama has proven to be clueless they should be ashamed but instead they are acting as if they always thought the Clintons were wonderful.

Mathews needs to stop with the compliments now, we all know he’s gearing up from some more put downs if she runs again. He is total fake.
I agree, who did not know Hillary had a great personality, every rethug in the Senate lovers her. Brownback even apologized to her for accepting what the media said about her as true….then he got to know her and he respects her.

    Taylor,
Hurl is a mild word. I could probably come up with one worse. I hate these beltway blowhards.

I heard Chris make that statement last night and about threw my chair at the TV set. If he really had been paying attention, he would have seen this side of Hiilary during the 2008 primaries. It was there. It has always been there. He was just too busy and blind to notice it because his star-struck head was way to far up Obama’s butt!

    Taylor,

Has SOS Clinton not voted for invading Iraq, she would be president, today!

      Horsepucky.

Hillary got more votes than Obama. She won by big margins in 13 of the 15 biggest state primaries, and did it spending far less money than Obama did. She won the swing states of Texas, Florida and Ohio.

Obama won the red states and 13 of 14 caucus states. In the one caucus state he lost (Nevada) he got fewer votes but more delegates. Caucus states represented 3% of Democratic votes but 15% of the delegates.

The media declared Obama the inevitable winner back in February but Hillary kept winning primary after primary anyway, so the Democratic leadership had to drag him across the finish line with the help of the superdelegates and the Rules and Bylaws Committee decision that awarded Obama some of Hillary’s delegates in Michigan.

BTW – Why is it that Hillary is the ONLY Democrat held responsible for the Iraq vote?

ps: Here is her Senate speech on the AUMF:

Hillary Clinton does have a great since of humor and most of us knew that except him and some others on MSM because of their hero worship of Obama. Chris Matthews, Ed Shultz, and some others get on my nerves so bad. Now is mocks Sarah Palin and other women, I am going to say it, he is sexist just like the rest of the elite guys in the news bussiness.
