Rick Perry’s Weird & ‘Passionate’ Performance

“Twenty percent flat tax: put it on there, take your deductions off, send it in. Even Tim Geithner can get his taxes in on time with this, I’m telling ya.” – Gov. Rick Perry

The snippets of a speech Gov. Rick Perry gave in New Hampshire over the weekend is getting some buzz (h/t Huffington Post).

Not the Herman Cain was accused of sexual harassment buzz, but bad publicity, nonetheless.

Mr. Perry looks possessed at times. …or drunk. It’s just plain odd. It’s like he’s accidentally auditioning for a spot on Comedy Central.

Whoever thought this guy was presidential material should have his or her head examined. It makes me think it was his wife, Anita Perry, who had her own dreams of being first lady.

However, Gov. Perry’s delusional White House dreams are now having repercussions in Texas. Herman Cain is has tied Perry in the Lone Star state, according to a new poll. That’s got to hurt.

Gov. Rick Perry is statistically tied with businessman Herman Cain among Republican presidential primary voters in his home state of Texas, with the rest of the GOP candidates well behind the leaders, according to the new University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll.

The discussion on Morning Joe speculated on a back problem and prescription drugs.Mica fancies herself an expert on prescription medications, odd for a health nut.If it is a joke on her part like Joe and Willy smoking a drinking and eating Big Macs it is still a silly message to put out there.

It makes me think it was his wife, Anita Perry….Funny; been thinking the same thing for awhile.

Head examined? Whoever thought Perry was presidential material should be immediately committed to the psych ward. He is just downright creepy. To me he looks like a comedian trying to imitate a televangelist.

Please Taylor, do not blame Anita Perry for Rick’s over-sized ego. I’m quite sure he brought that ego into the relationship from the word go. Plus I’m also quite sure that there were plenty of burbon soaked cronies of Perry whispering in his ear and telling him how easy it would be to get the Republican nomination; that is was just lying on the ground for Perry to take it. Perry’s lazy, sloppy, shambolic run has all the signs of a man who thought he did not have to work to get the nomination of his party.
